Chorus 2014 lyrics and full songs

Many of you wanted to be able to sing the chorus songs at home.  Remember to open your mouth and pronounce each word clearly as you sing.  Try to match each pitch smoothly, without making your voice scoop or “click”.  (TIP:  Click on “RSS” at the top of your page – this will direct you to another window in order to play  the songs.)

If you have been given part two on any song, try to sing your part accurately.  Here are the lyrics and audio for Put a Little Love in Your Heart, Count on Me,  and Splish Splash:

Put a Little Love in Your Heart (with Love Train)

People all over the world     join hands,    Start a love train, love train.

People all over the world     join hands,    Start a love train, love train.

Take a good look around ,  And if you’re looking down

Put a little love in your heart,  I hope when you decide
Kindness will be your guide,  Put a little love in your heart.

And the world will be a better place

And the world will be a better place
For you and me,   You just wait and see.

People all over the world     join hands,   Start a love train, love train.

People all over the world     join hands,   Start a love train, love train.

Another day goes by,   And still the children cry
Put a little love in your heart

If you want the world to know,   We won’t let hatred grow
Put a little love in your heart.

And the world will be a better place

And the world will be a better place
For you and me,   You just wait and see.

People all over the world     join hands,  Start a love train, love train.

People all over the world     join hands,  Start a love train, love train.

Part 1: Put a little love in your heart (sing 4 times)

Part 2: Put a little love, put a little love, put a little love in your heart. (sing 2 times)

(Everybody): Put a little love……

Part 1:  Put a little love in your heart……etc. (sing 7 times)

Part 2:  People all over the world     join hands,

Start a love train, love train. (sing 3 times)

People all over the world     join hands

(Everybody): Put a little love in your heart!

“Count On Me”

[Verse 1:]   Uh-huh
If you ever find yourself stuck in the middle of the sea
I’ll sail the world to find you
If you ever find yourself lost in the dark and you can’t see
I’ll be the light to guide you

We find out what we’re made of

When we are called to help our friends in need

[Chorus:]
You can count on me like 1, 2, 3,     I’ll be there
And I know when I need it
I can count on you like 4, 3, 2,      And you’ll be there
‘Cause that’s what friends are supposed to do, oh yeah
Ooooooh, oooohhh yeah, yeah

[Verse 2:]
If you’re tossin’ and you’re turnin’
And you just can’t fall asleep
I’ll sing a song beside you
If you ever forget how much you really mean to me
Every day I will remind you

We find out what we’re made of
When we are called to help our friends in need

[To Chorus above]

(BRIDGE:)   You’ll always have my shoulder when you cry
I’ll never let go, never say goodbye
You know…

[Last Chorus:]
You can count on me like 1, 2, 3      I’ll be there
And I know when I need it
I can count on you like 4, 3, 2      You’ll be there
‘Cause that’s what friends are supposed to do, oh yeah
Ooooooh, oooohhh

You can count on me ’cause I can count on you.

Splish Splash

Part 1:

Splish, splash, I was takin’ a bath   ‘Long about a Saturday night.
A rub dub, just relaxin’ in the tub   thinkin’ everythin’ was alright.
Well, I stepped out the tub      put my feet on the floor
I wrapped the towel around me and I  opened the door
Then splish, splash       I jumped back in the bath
Well, how was I to know       there was a party goin’ on?

I was a-splishin’ and a-splashin’       Rollin’ with the strollin’
Movin’ and a-groovin’            Reelin’ with the feelin’’,

Splish, splash          I jumped back in the bath

Well, how was I to know         there was a party goin’ on?  Yeah!

Part 2:

Splish,     Splash,   Splish, Splash.

I’m in the bath on a Saturday night, on a Saturday.

Rub,     Dub,      rub, dub.

I’m in the tub,     thinking everything was all right.

Well I stepped out         and put my feet on the floor,

And like a fool I opened the door.     Oh No!

How could I know,     there was a party going on?

Splishin’, Splashin’,    Splishin’, Splashin’

Splishin’, Splashin’,     rollin’ and a strollin’

Splishin’, Splashin’,   movin’ and a- groovin’,

Splishin’, Splashin’,   reelin’ with the feelin’.

Splish,  Splash     I jumped.    Oh No!

Well, how was I to know     there was a party goin’ on? Yeah!

(Third time, Part 1 and 2 sing together.)
